Doyle Brunson’s Super System – Super System is a great poker book overall and it touches in on a lot of different angles about lowball poker.

Doyle Brunson is one of the best poker players in the world and holds 13 World Series of Poker bracelets. He wrote this book for players to learn from and to help them aspire into strong players who win big. The book covers quite a few different forms of poker including 2-7 lowball.

Doyle and his cohorts elaborate on the importance of understanding bad players and how to capitalize on them. He also talks about how to take advantage of players who draw incorrectly on a regular basis.

Daniel Negreanu has written a fantastic section on 2-7 lowball which is included in Super System. Even though the no limit holdem advice in Super System is thought to be dated the lowball poker sections, especially Negreanu’s sections, are still considered world class!

Super System 2 – Super System 2 is another decent book which covers lowball poker. This book was designed to expand upon Super System 1 and update the concepts and theories it contained.

The lowball section focuses more on odds and there‘s a great section which includes drawing odds in lowball games. If you only buy one of the Super System books go for the second one because it’s more up to date.

Theory of Poker – Theory of Poker is written by David Sklansky who is one of the top poker brains of our generation.

Theory of poker goes over a lot of different topics, but more in depth and focused on explaining the theory behind the plays that are correct to make. This helps the reader to really learn the reasoning behind making the plays that they are told are correct.

It explains key concepts you need to understand to succeed at any form of poker. Sklansky touches a little on drawing and the ideas behind taking draws, but doesn’t go too much into it. There are quite a few examples from Razz cash games within the book.

Sklansky On Razz – Sklansky on Razz is considered to be the bible on Razz poker, much like Super System and Texas Holdem. It was published in 1983 but is still considered to be the best Razz poker strategy book ever written.

It’s actual out of print at the moment, but the newer book Sklansky on Poker includes the same Razz material.
